S&T Analyst role?

I joined a BB at a S&T analyst beginning of this year on the trading side and I don't do anything at all.

People rarely even talk to me while they seem close friendly and talkative to others. I can sit there all day and read websites and probably no one will care. How normal is this? Should I start looking for a new job?

Hey buddy, hold it on. i am suffering exactlly the same here, dont pay too much attention on them, focus on yourself's business. if you wanna make friends, go get some in your private social life.

Good luck

i swear some s&t desks have got to be the most antisocial work environment ever. you hear about "banter" and all, but what passes for social interaction on my trading desk throughout the whole day is just sad. i wouldn't feel bad that no one doesn't talk to me, but they barely even talk to each other. it's not normal. i thought s&t people were supposed to be super outgoing or something. yikes.
