S&T BAML - London

Hello everybody,

I hope you are doing good. I'm joining Bank Of America in S&T next summer. Prior to that, i have been working during a year in two differents BB Banks (JP/MS/Barclays/Goldman) in the same field : Equity Structured Products Sales. (both were 6 months long internships).

I truly love the job, its dynamic and can change with the client's coverage (i have done 2 different coverage). I have taught myself some of the theory behind it by reading some books (Mohamed Bouzoubaa / "Exotic options and Hybrids" / the knowledge from this book is more adapted to a Structuring job rather than Sales).

A friend gave me the possible rotations that i can do at BAML. In the equity side, there is the "Equity Derivates Sales" desk where i can do a rotation. What do you guys think about that desk? By reading the forum,i have seen that BAML is good at FICC because of the large balance sheet it has & international exposure / no idea about equities, unfortunately i do not know much about FICC.

I'm a little bit lost in my choices, i also want a job that has a future, Wouldn't "equity derivatives sales" be automated? also i guess the main products sold are basic Vanilla Option strategies in these kind of desks or am i wrong? i'm interested by trading, but unfortunately not in the long term, what i love about sales is to have a daily interaction with clients.

Thank you very much all for your advices.
