S&T - BB Commodity Sales - Houston

Through some very fortunate networking, I have a meeting tomorrow with the MD of the commodity sales division at a BB who is located in Houston. I currently work in the most brainless, worthless middle office role, and absolutely hate the work.

Is the commodity sales desk lucrative? Salary expectations (I would come in as an associate, more than likely)? Are they mostly market-making, or are they taking some positions? Offering hedging solutions to clients? Is the job brainless (albeit, less than my current MO role)? Looking at Linkedin, the current commodity sales folks look to come from less-than-stellar educational backgrounds, but that aligns well with my own educational background, I suppose. Would this be considered a "front office" role?

Thank in advance for any help.
