S&T career (sales)

I am applying for an MBA at NYU next year in finance. What is the best piece of advice to break into a sales and trading desk at a big bank? I have no finance experience but I work in sales and have transferable skills. My plan is to get my MBA in finance and then get a job. Also is it worth working in S&T nowadays? There is not much job security in this space but I love the industry. Or should I look into tech sales? Thoughts?

I like sales a lot but I want to work on the sales side on a trading desk in NYC at one of the big banks. I was hoping an MBA would help with that, especially at NYU since a lot of banks recruit from there.
