S&T offer: Non-BB@NY vs. BB@HK

I have received two offers for S&T SA, one is with a non-BB (think HSBC/BNP/SG/Nomura) in New York, and the other is with a BB (think BAML/Citi/CS/Barclays) in Hong Kong. I am a native Chinese and slightly prefer a career in mainland China in long-term perspective, also very open to HF/MBA in U.S..

Considering the recent activities in HK and global economic outlook, could anyone share any insights or advice regarding which one to choose?

Not sure how the situation with China and HK will work out, but assuming the worst, which is that the Chinese government will eventually take over HK and make like the rest of the country, I think that you would be better off staying in the US for work. I am hoping and praying that HK will remain a free and independent state, but you have to plan for the worst, just in case things aren't resolved in a way that is beneficial to the population of Hong Kong.
