S&T Rotation Canada - Best desks for someone with programming skills

I'm an engineer by education in the S&T rotational program at one of the big banks in Canada. I have good programming skills, but little finance knowledge. What are some desks I should rotate on as someone who hopes to code for a significant portion (approx 30%-60%) of the work day, while setting up myself for good exit or lateral opportunities as a quant dev or trader (or quant trader lol)?

What are the 'must' rotate in terms of future opportunities and career development for someone with a profile like mine? I have been told Fixed Income Desks will need more automation in the years to come. At the same time there seem to be a lot of equity option market making and trading firms in the United States.

Thanks in advance!
