Standard Deviation - Deck of Cards

I'm looking for some prep material regarding standard deviation calculations for the sum of expected values of various unknown playing cards (2 cards, 3 cards,.....,26 cards,.....,51 cards,52 cards).

I understand that standard deviation decreases as you increase a sample size, however I'm looking for resources that help calculate the exact values of the standard deviations. This came up in a recent interview for a prop shop and I was very under-prepared even though there was no indication I would be tested on this from HR, the prep material sent to me or from any reviews on Glassdoor of previous applicants who have done this interview. I'm still waiting on the result of this interview however I am not very hopeful due to my lack of knowledge.

Thanks in advance,
