STIR vs EURO govies trading desks

Hi,

I can’t decide between the two desks. I’m in Fx sales and I spent a lot of time with STIR traders as I wanted to switch to trading, so I know quite well what that desk is about. However, the opportunity to change desk is now in rates trading, euro govies desk. I don’t know well what they do. Is it very different? Is it still good for a potential HF move on the future? Can you explain a day to day of let’s say a German bund trader?
