Suits for 1st year analysts?

Hi,

Firstly, I'm new to the forum - so hello all.

Next: I will be a 1st year capital markets analyst in London as of this summer, and the dress code on the trading floor is business formal. Does anyone have any advice as to how much to spend on a suit, and any suggestions for where to buy from? One place I've heard is good is M&S - any thoughts?

Thanks in advance, and great site - I check here every day, and thought I'd finally register.

Joel

Not a massive fan of M&S personally but I believe they are fine. Check out TM Lewin and Hawes & Curtis for reasonably priced suits as well. Note it is also sensible to spend another £50 or so to get it fitted at a tailors. The suit will immediately look better if it fits you well.

T.M.'s are good buys. If you are looking to save some money for now, you may look at some of the local city shops. I know Paul Bradley near Moorgate tube averages £149-249 and is typically a good buy.

Give it a try...
