Taper Tantrum 2013

Fed announced very recently that it will taper its asset purchasing program buy $10BN a month.

This number seems quite arbitrary to me, but does this figure seem high? low? unexpected for now?

Is anyone changing anything in their personal accounts? Did anyone make a big trade on this news?

this almost seems to me like CNBC style hype, but i'm interested to see what happen over the next few months.
Sorry in advance for the coffee induced rapid fire questions...

Good news -> Fed winds down the taper -> Market goes up

Bad news -> Fed continues taper to stimulate economy -> Market goes up

Anybody else see a problem here?

If the glove don't fit, you must acquit!

I think you meant to say wind down QE, tapering is the beginning of this. I agree though it seems like any news is good news.
