Thinking about switching career paths

Hello, I was on the career path into investment banking but i am having second thoughts. I actually want to enjoy my younger days instead of spending 100 hours a week on excel. Sales and trading interests me because i love following the market and the hours seem 100% better. I just have a few questions as i am just now researching into this career path. 1.) How hard is it to get into sales and trading compared to investment banking? 2.) What is the salary like? From my research it seems as if the salaries of investment banking is about the same. 3.) What kind of internships during the school year/summer would be most optimal to get? 4.) What should i be doing in college to set me apart? 5.) What are options if you do not get into a BB sales and trading program? i know that investment bankers go into boutique, Thanks! I am really enjoying this site.
