Trade Execution Career Progression
Hey guys, currently I'm an investment analyst at a small asset / pw management shop with just over 7 bn aum. The pay here is not great, and the career progression opportunities seem slim so I am debating leaving, Recently I was offered a position as a trade execution specialist at a much bigger shop (400bn+ AUM) which gives me a 30% raise and much better flexibility. I am not certain what my long term goals are, but the loose thinking is to be a PM or something adjacent. If i love trading and can eventually make 200k+_in it that's fine too. Would this be a downgrade from what I have now? Really don't want to make a mistake here. I am 24 for context. The trading id be doing is for ultra high net worth individuals and will take into account their larger portfolio, long term goals, and tax implications. I will have discretionary authority over what is sold.
Thanks in advance for any comments!!
