Trader at IB day-to-day tasks???
Hello,
I would like to understand better what a sell side trader does in the day-to-day.
Let's, for example, look at a trader in an Equities Trading desk at a major IB. What do they do? Do they just fill orders sent to them by the clients in their ptf? What about risk management? Are they required to make risk models or does the risk department implement the risk measures for each trade?
I'm really confused abou the day-to-day of a trader and in the internet I cannot find any clear answer so I thought here I could get a direct answer from people in the industry.
Thanks!
