Traders: How Do You Avoid Morning Hunger Pangs

I gets in work at 6am every day. However, our firm orders breakfast for us at around 7:30am. During the one hour and a half, I usually get severe hunger pangs. I now eat snacks right after I get in work, and then breakfast at 7:30. I want to cut down calories, however.

Just wondering if anyone is in the same situation. Do you eat before breakfast? How do you avoid hunger pangs?

This is counter intuitive to reducing calories - but a hunger pang is the body's way of signaling that it's accessing your stored fat reserves. If that doesn't help eat before you get in, drink lots of water, or just deal with it.

drink water. don't eat more if you're cutting back on cals, water will fill you up and temporarily tide you over till breakfast

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

A huge glass of water the minute you open your eyes and 10 oz of coffee should hold you for a few hours. You have to remember that we train our bodies to give us a signal when we are supposed to eat. So by keeping your habit of snacking from 6 to 7:30, you are not doing yourself any favors.

I may not be on the Jedi Council, but I sure am great with the Force. See my WSO blog posts
