Quants suck, period. No offense. I am a maths major for undergrad and grad. Reasons I am doing it, 1) so no quant (trader) can bullshit (fuck) me 2) exploit the inefficiency created by quantitative models like BS model.

That's a pretty shitty reason to do a math graduate degree for. How do you like wasting your time/money like that?

Most of people are not excited to do proofs, and that's how you spent 80 of your time, reaingd and doing proofs. And it takes a lot of time away from u. Is it a waste of money and time? Too early to call... I think my reasons are sufficient for now.
