I apologize in advance if this is an ignorant question. I just started working on the FI trading floor of a BB and I hear the traders talking about "aggies". Could someone explain to me what they are? I haven't stumbled across anything in google, maybe I'm spelling it wrong...

No it has nothing to do with agriculture...I work on a fixed income trading desk.
It has something to do with having various long/short positions in your book and it "creates" aggies that can lead to mark to market PnL....
Any ideas?
