Ya, UBS is Swiss and we seem to talk about them a lot. RBC is MM. I met a RBC trader and he had good things to say. Environment was different than a pure trading firm since RBC is a bank and has different risk measures. He had to adjust, but said that it was a good place.

pbizzleBarclay is also... not 'american' ...

thanks... so its a "good" place but no where near measurable to the big names (GS,MS,JP etc)?

Any place that gives you tangible experience and allows you to do something that you love to do is a great place to be. RBC is large MM, but not as large as the above mentioned banks.

they have an excellent prop trading desk. not sure how you can apply to be a prop trader, but to be a prop trader here would be excellent experience.

any prop tradng desk at a bank regardless is excellent experience. you get to play with risk
