Trading Desks / Necessity of Math + Coding
I’m incoming 2025 summer S&T at a well known MM bank in NY.
I have very strong physics/math background and decent python coding skills (did a Monte Carlo sim) but I know I have much to learn.
How much actual math/coding is required on the job for SA vs FT?
And which desks are the most intense regarding math/coding? (Any book recommendations for those desks would also be appreciated)
