I love learning and discussing the markets and trading and am trying to expand on this by creating a group where myself and others can meet and build on each other's knowledge. I don't see any groups particularly focused more on futures, and particularly commodities, trading. However, all are welcome, whether you trade equities or freeze-dried cockroaches.
I had some issues the first meetup with people coming wanting to "learn to invest" or "learn about trading", but I would rather those people, if they insist on coming, see me after the meetup or simply listen and not ask general questions about trading.
I want people to come together and talk about trends, news, trading strategies, markets, etc. Anyone can make a presentation. We had a very interested presentation from an older gentleman about investing in less heavily traded commodities like bananas and aluminum via ETFs and companies involved in the industry. He had charts and graphs and all sorts of stuff. I made a presentation on the current positions I had as well as some things on calendar spreads, what my outlook was, etc.
