Trading on volume?
I believe market makers are the people who connect two parties on either end of a trade and take a commission off the top so they want to do as many trades, the larger the better, as possible.
Can anyone compare and contrast the jobs/lives/salaries/risk of traders who facilitate trades and take commissions as opposed to traders who are actually taking positions with their own (or their firms) money?
