Trading Rotation Advice
I will be starting as a trading analyst at a major bank next month. We will be doing rotations before being placed onto a desk permanently. The desk that we will be placed on doesn't necessarily have to be a desk we rotated on.
I'm interested in pursuing a macro trading route (perhaps going to a global macro fund) and wanted to pick my rotations to fit along these lines. I was thinking about pursuing rotations in:
repo & Front End Rates Trading (browsed the forums, seems like an ideal place to do a rotation to learn especially if the Fed decides to hike in the next year)
FX Forwards and STIR Trading
FX Options Trading
Metals & Index Trading
I've been leaning towards going for the Repo rotation first and then pursuing FX or Commodities (in no particular order). Anyways, just wanted to hear thoughts...
PM'd you
