Transition to S&T?

Hello all,

I am a student at a semi-target school pursuing a MS Finance (4.0). I have an undergrad in ACCT(3.6) but never wanted to go into accounting, just got bad advice.

I want to end up in S&T but I'm not sure about how to get there. I had several interviews with S&T desks at several BB and got a second round with GS but didn't get the position. I have interned in the past at a Big 4 consulting firm but hated being on the road so much. This summer I'll be working in a private bank rotation for a BB and want to know what I should do to attempt to move into S&T at the same firm or another BB.

Should I attempt to network into the AM or S&T areas or would that look bad? I'm not sure when to tip my hand that I plan on leaving the PB and don't want to burn any bridges.

I'm just looking for some advice on how to get to S&T or AM from where I am or if its even possible.

Thanks in advance.
