Anybody know anything about Tricon Energy? They are engaged in petrochemicals and polymers. Any insight would be appreciated.

I met with some Tricon guys at the jobfair at my school. They're growing fairly rapidly, and I got a great vibe from them.

I have a friend who interviewed there, but took a job at Glencore. He really liked the tenor of the place - the guys get shit done and don't screw around, but they're not above kicking back and throwing a football around for a couple of minutes. From what I understand, they have a New York office, but the real show is in Houston, and if you're serious that's where you'll want to be.

This is a few years old now. Does anybody know if the company promotes ops people to traders internally or do they only bring traders on from other companies?
