Turning a Back Office Internship into a FO offer

Hey guys,

This summer I am interning in back office finance at an Investment Bank and I want to know how to leverage this into a S&t internship for next summer at the shop. I want to network with as many traders as possible, but I don't want to offend my managers by making it look like I am just using this internship as a step.

I have a pretty solid resume (in my opinion) with wealth management and IB both at small firms, double in finance and math and bunch of extra curriculars from a semi-target. Please if anyone has any experiene with this, anything will help.
