Typical Week Summer Internship - Trading

Hi, I would like to know what is the typical week for a summer internship in Trading (in Wall Street) : what are the work hours ? And given that the markets are closed the weekend, I assume that nobody work on saturday on sunday, is that true ? And are the work hours the same for a first year analyst ? Thanks for your answers !

I find it strange that pretty much all your questions are about hours. They will depend on a) your desk and b) your willingness.

Personally, during my internship i spent a decent amount of time in the office on weekends despite the fact the floor was completely empty because id spend weeknights socializing and going for drinks with various people. As a rule id never turn down a drinks/social invitation if i could just push the project work towards the weekend.

Essentially 2-3 nights a week were socializing, the other nights and weekends id catch up on work, review notes, read about products etc etc. The workload is open ended in S&T, so you arent pulling IBD hours, but you get out what you put in. If you are looking to do the minimum needed to get by you wont last long. Just my 2c.
