VIX Calls
I’ve been holding vix calls for a while now, and now doing pretty good on the position. How much higher do you pros see this going before EOY?

Please never make buying VIX calls a long term strategy. You’ll lose all your money over enough time. There’s no reason a non-professional should be trading these instruments.
I was using it as a hedge against yesterday’s exact movement and it worked, but ok.
Agree with comment above but I think you can hold them for a bit and play the election.
That was my original plan. And the only reason I'm using this instead of gold as a hedge is because I no longer believe gold to be a good negative correl to the market. Treasuries suck too, so if you have any suggestions on a safer hedge, I'd love to know.
there should be one more VIX spike...sell into that when it happens
remember, the VIX is elevated because SoftBank and Mayasoshi Son were paying up to buy large amounts of OTM calls....but now that everybody knows...that trade is over...the world will fade this SoftBank trade...and SoftBank will lose...so the VIX upside is capped.
