Why is Wall Street so opaque with the promotion process?
I found out I got associate from a bcc autoblast email from HR, my manager still hasn't acknowledged it, I don't even know if he knows. Another 3rd year analyst on my team didn't get it and no one has told him and a third got it and the manager told her face to face. Is this typical? You'd think a manager would love to be the bearer of good news. I don't have a problem putting things together on my own, but this just seems unnecessary and a bit absurd.
