What in the world does this mean!?
Hello everyone. I am going into an interview with a firm and they have 4 positions open. I wanted to ask what these positions do? They are titled as follows:
· Customer Settlement
· Dividends & Reorg.
· Street Settlement
· General Securities Processing
I have no idea what street settlement is, customer settlement or dividends and reorganization. Can anyone help? Which will I learn most from if I want to go into banking or wealth management?
Thank you!
These are all back office jobs and will likely learn slim to none about what you will need for banking or AM.
What do they do though? Like what the hell is street settlement?
My guess it's a job that involves responsibilities for settling trades done with the dealer community (aka the Street).
