What is a good way to stay up to date with the markets as a student
For prospects not yet in the industry, and who don't have access to a Bloomberg terminal with readily accessible sell-side research and daily market updates from banks, what is a good way to stay up to date with the markets in real time across all asset classes beyond reading FT/WSJ/BBG/etc., watching BBG/CNBC/etc., scrolling fintwit/x.com, listening to podcasts, and reading substacks?
you basically listed everything you can do as a student. i found that having someone to talk to/ask question is very helpful. person doesn't have to be someone in the industry but being to brain dump after say a FOMC presser is useful for gathering ur thoughts. im home for christmas break so ive been yapping about macro to my mom a lot lol
also most retail brokerages are pretty generous with the amount of research they give access to: jpm, wells, etrade, bofa/ml. You have access to almost everything from JPM research with their self directed account. their frontend is pretty shit but the graphql schema is exposed so you can just spoof the payload to get what you want lol
