What to wear for a Desk Visit
In the next couple weeks I am going to be visiting a couple different equity s&t desks and was wondering what should I wear to these? I was thinking a suit with a tie in my back pocket just in-case I need it. Has anyone done this or have recommendations?
Slacks, loafers, button down sport shirt, and a black North Face vest.
Definitely a fleece vest, could also go with Navy depending on the bank. Gucci horsebit loafers would be ideal as well.
When I did a few of these I always had a full suit and tie on. A few firms I felt a little over dressed but you can take the tie off and keep the jacket on the back of your chair.
Gucci loafers, otherwise known as deal sleds are a must. Let these guys know you mean business.
Rule of thumb: better to be too formal than too informal.
No need to make any fashion statements, but look sharp. As you are on their premises, have your jacket & tie on - you may be able to take it off as the situation dictates...good loafers are a must.
