Third Friday for exchange traded stuff. OTC can expire whenever.

Equity options always expire the third Friday of the month. Well, to be technical, they expire on Saturday, but you obviously can't trade them after Friday's close. So for all intensive purposes Friday is the expiration.

You mupties, there are more than one stock exchange out there. Can expire whenever the fuck you want. And a lot of the business is done OTC and expiry is when you want. Yea yea, you can bet that more than 50% of exchange traded options expire on the third friday of the month. Russia RTS/ Israel/ etc... I can think of plenty of markets where exchange traded options expire later.
