When to call again.....

Have a solid rapport built with the head of a trading desk. called him early this am to touch base. small talked briefly before he had to head into his morning call. told me to call him back at around noon to chat some more. So I obviously ringed him again. Tried 3 times (spread out, not B2B), 3rd time left a msg and followed up with an email got nothing back...figured he got busy with the surge today.....am I good to call him again tomorrow am? or should I wait till post holiday? ----What do you boys think? ...The situation is I am currently in IBD at a MM in NY and am approaching end of my first year and want to go into S&T because IB is a bit too slow for me.
