Working in NY vs HK

I received two summer internship offers from top BBs (GS/MS), one for NYC office and the other for HK office.

I was born in the US but grew up in HK before college. My family is in HK and I do have a greater sense of belonging there compared to the US. I would definitely be happier working in HK but I am also aware that NY is considered more prestigious and might overall be a better learning experience, even if I decide to go back to Asia later on.

How big really is the difference in prestige/opportunities NY vs HK? Would appreciate any comment/advice.
