Breaking into VC from a corporate

Hi, I am currently in an analyst program at FT500. The program allows us to rotate through areas of the business such as Corp Dev, Product, Strategy, and more. After a couple of rotations in these areas of business, I have found my real interest in working in VC. I realize it is an untraditional background, but I know there are analyst roles available at a lot of firms, and I was wondering if anyone has also come from a corporate background and broke into the industry. I know there is a lot of product managers, and people with previous start-up experience, so I am just curious on how the best way to go about this would be. I have been applying to analyst roles, and reaching out for coffee chats, and I have had some success, but nothing has came to fruition yet. Let me know your thoughts!
