Building A Startup From Day 1 - The Documentary

So I haven't been as active on these forums lately as I would like to be. I was first brought in for the finance and investment banking side, but stayed for the great acceptance for venture capital, sales and startups.

I've worked for some top startup (largest funding round, company funded by the Founders Fund) and then came back to Texas and launched my own gig. It didn't work the way I planned, and I had to take a job selling SaaS in a startup here.

Recently I decided to quit that engagement, and focus on an opportunity that came to me. I will not only be able to form the entire sales and marketing department, but also influence product and everything. It will be the title of Director of Sales at the age of 23.

We are starting at an idea, a minimum selling product and a good value proposition. No current clients, no funding, just the grind and growth of a company.

Today was Day 0: aka the day I officially accepted the position.

That means tomorrow is the first day, and I want to give back by giving almost a documentary level analysis of what its like building a startup from scratch.

The Product

It's a difficult concept to fully wrap around, but it has B2B and B2C efforts. What we provide is the ability to create a marketing channel via a 3rd party app for locations that offer WiFi but also utility to see and interact with companies in your area that offer WiFI.

With the news of Facebook being unable to push content as easily for business pages, that means that there will be higher costs associated with getting in front of people and ultimately push it out as a SMB option.

Our app provides a utiltiy for the users (finding wifi spots, interacting with them and users on the network, and then providing a social response) and benefit the customer engagement from a B2B aspect.

What I want to ask, is the fact that come tomorrow I want to do a full mock up of what's going on but I want some feedback. Do you want to hear daily or weekly or monthly. I can do whatever schedule is most popular but I want to make sure I can do what you find valuable.

Also any questions feel free to ask.
