Can I get into Growth Equity from M&A Boutique?
Semi-target analyst at a top M&A shop at least by this forums standards (EVR M&A, PJT RSSG, MOE LA) - Realizing I want to do GE instead of following the heard and trying to do buyout PE. How do I best position myself with HH to get pulls / is it worth considering lateraling to a top TMT shop instead of doing on-cycle this year?
You’ll be fine, just network with those funds and tell relevant recruiters you want GE. You may need to clarify why you want to do GE more than most (eg I want to source, or, I love tech and can prove it because I do x, y, and z - you may need tangible evidence since you are not in a TMT group)
