Consulting vs M&A for VC?
Have an internship offer at a strat consulting firm and a BB investment bank in m&a. I would like to get into VC in the later parts of my career (I'd like to work for a startup in between). Anyways where should I spend the first step of my career in? Some people tell me IBD as m&a provides you with a valuation expertise but I dont want to go to VC to work in their investment teams, I would like to be an operator and advise startups on their way up. So I feel that consulting would provide more value to me?
