Corporate Development/Strategy to VC
Have read a few threads on Corporate Development, but would a Corporate Development Analyst gig set someone up well to break into a VC analyst or associate role? You wouldn't get the volume someone in IB or consulting would get, but I'd assume thinking strategically about potential acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic planning initiatives would give some solid experience that seems even more transferrable to what an analyst/associate would be doing in venture. Curious to hear some perspectives on this

I successfully made this transition with tech corpdev experience straight out of university. It was an uphill battle but was ultimately doable to get interviews/offers in IB/PE/VC. If the company is in tech and is acquisitive, you will have good experience and should be able to tell a good story.
