Do VCs hire 2+2 (IB/PE) candidates?
As subject suggests, do VC firms hire 2+2 people from reputable tech buyout firms or are you seen as a non-technical deal monkey? Is it better to pivot to growth and then maybe work your way down the capital lifecycle over time? What are the best ways to position oneself for a true VC seat if coming from 2+2? Do any of the major platforms have more of a reputation for hiring 2+2 vs others? Thanks!
