FT BO Operations VS. part time VC Internship

Recent graduate near major southern city (Houston/Dallas/Atl/Charlotte). - Big state school (SMU/Georgia/UF/A&M/NC State) -Finance/Econ double major - Below 3.5 GPA - Good Finance Internships Have FT offer in operations from a major american bank. Also for part time internship (paid) at startup VC (less than 5 people) with well sized fund with a big focus on tech (Cloud/Saas). Doubtful possibilities for FT after internship.

My dream would be to get into MF VC or Tech IB eventually, but money is a major issue (college loans). Would love to hear thoughts on what I should do.

I'd say you have to be very careful about internships at small firms like that. There's a possibility that you'll be stuck doing something that doesn't further your career at all. Obviously there's a chance that you crush it and they hire you FT or set you up with someone who does, but there's a definite risk that they don't. Did they say what you'll be doing there?
