Growth Equity Mid-Level / Senior Comp

I am seeing GE associate comp is a slight haircut to traditional PE (maybe ~50k less which isn't significant in the long run). Anyone have data points as you advance in your career in GE?

Thinking about the VP/Principal level and eventual Partner level, which on a carry basis should be the same economics as PE assuming same fund size and returns. Let me know if I'm thinking about it incorrectly.
