How do i fix this?

I don’t ever post here so I will be getting straight to it. I am a student who completed his sophomore year back in April in a well respected Canadian university. I have been applying for co-ops (internships) for the fall term and have been reaching out to people on linkedin. I connected with a founder of a VC on LinkedIn yesterday (in the states) and messaged him asking him for some time for a coffee chat online anytime in the upcoming weeks. He asked for my cell and I was waiting for his call till midnight yesterday (I am in India right now for my summer internship). He called at what was 6am for me and i was deep in sleep at the moment and couldn’t even hear my phone. I am afraid I’ve wasted his time…should i send a sorry message explaining this and ask for time again, and how shall i do that?
