I applied to an edtech VC dream job in Sao Paolo. I don't speak Portuguese, however. I'm wondering if this is something like Singapore where you only really need to speak English, or something like Shanghai where if you don't speak Mandarin, why bother applying.
I ask because the job reviewer and I share a mutual connection, and I don't want to waste my shot at asking for a warm introduction if I'll look stupid for asking despite not speaking Portuguese.
