IB or MBB -> VC
Is consulting (MBB) or IB (assuming relevant group) better for those hoping to land a VC role? I've heard C-Suite/Operations at a growing startup is another good option but curious to know about the comparison between these two.

Career Resources
For top tier VC, it is primarily IB. However, idk if that is because VCs prefer IB or because people in IB are more likely to go to VC.
Where are MBB people more likely to go
Like a lot of IBB or MBB, this comes down to MBB just having far fewer folks going into finance. VC is a fairly common path for after MBB, and everyone I know who has done that has gone to a great shop. For later stage and growth, modeling is still important, but business diligence and "client" dealings are very important particularly for earlier stage. In all, the MBB skill-set is a great foundation for all of VC as a whole. There is also less competition. I would strongly wager that the % of MBB in top VC funds compared to the % of MBB trying to go to VC is much greater than for IB
For later stages/ growth Equity IB, for early stages/seed MBB
