Informing VC funds that rejected me where I am going?

I've interviewed at a few funds where I got to the final 2/3 applicants. I was wondering if it made sense to give an update at those funds where I failed where I ended up?

There were a few that ended their rejection emails with "Let me know where you end up!" and the like, hence why this has occurred to me.

Does this have any merit?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

You don't need to report back to them. There's nothing to be gained from it and it doesn't benefit them in any way either.
