Investing in a startup
Hi everyone,
Apologies if this is the wrong place for this question.
Through some internet sleuthing, I have come across a pharmaceutical startup with a patent on a drug that looks like it could be *very* lucrative. This startup most recently completed Series B financing a couple of years ago. I would like to invest around maybe $50k-$100k of my own money in this startup.
Would it be possible for me to do this? If so, how would I go about doing this?
I meet the SEC definition of an accredited investor.
Our angel investors (in our portco's) normally meet the founders/the company through their network or, in some cases, they just email the IR head in said startup. Find out if/when they are raising, who they are looking to have in the round and what the cap table looks like.
