Lead Edge Capital - Growth Equity Info
Any insight on Lead Edge Capital? Seems to be a pretty good firm (manages 3b) and has around 15 investment professionals. Would love to know more.

Career Resources
Lead Edge just raised a new fund ($1b) and now manages around $3b. I have a buddy that works there and I know comp is around 175k-200k all in out of undergrad (100k base, 75% bonus, phantom equity) with the ability to make more depending on sourcing new deals. They're pretty insane given how lean they are and Mitchell Green is quite well connected. Work experience seems great as you get to do both sourcing and due diligence with the opportunity of getting a board seat if the firm invests in the company. Definitely a top growth equity shop and I think they recruit out of undergrad as well as post banking.
Pretty spot on. Would like to add that they are heavily sourcing focused out of undergrad but that isn't a bad thing.
What would you say is the split between sourcing and diligence? Want to be in GE in the long-term, but wondering if I'm better off going the BB IB route first to get deal/modeling reps.
I know of the firm since I have interviewed there before. Most of the work is sourcing at the entry level; however, if you source the investment you are a part of the full due-diligence process (valuation, operational work, business dev, etc). The team is ~15 investment professionals managing around $3b, so you will get a lot of exposure. If you want to be in GE/VC/growth-stage buyout for the long run, I'd take LE and not look back.
