Does anyone have a sense of what a recently promoted Partner (from Principal/VP) would reasonably be expected to contribute to the GP commitment for a VC fund? Let’s assume a $300M fund, 1% total GP commitment. I’ve heard anywhere from $100K to $350K for new/young/recently promoted Partners (rest being filled by Managing Partners and other Partners). I know it’s based on personal financial position, but trying to get a sense of average.
