Possible to go from OCIO to Venture Capital?

I wanted to ask a questions to the professionals in the OCIO, I got a entry level analyst position at a large OCIO on their research team covering the private equity asset class(buyout, growth, early stage venture). This particular OCIO splits their portfolio mgt and research teams, so I'll be mostly responsible on investment due diligence, deep asset research and meeting fund managers.

It's there a visible path to a venture capital role? Have you seen others switch OCIO professionals switch directly or pivoting through an MBA?
