Prep for Growth Investing Job

Hi all,

I was fortunate enough to land an offer on the growth / early-stage investing team of a fairly well-known crossover fund. I'm coming from a management consulting background and probably lack the technical / modeling skills that my peers coming from PE will have developed.

I start in 2 months. Any tips from the experienced on how to get up to speed? I've heard Peak Frameworks' PE modeling course is pretty good, although I don't think I'll be building LBOs. Additionally, should I focus on building out a pipeline / reaching out to founders so I can be effectively sourcing from day 1?

Thanks for your insights. If I can help you in any way, please let me know as well!
